Gravacacher is released

Version 1.0_alpha of Gravacacher - very lightweight cache server for avatars retrieved from www.gravatar.com - is released.

This blog is currently running this version, so please feel free to try it out here and report any issues / comments / suggestions!

Update 2008.03.05: after migration to Drupal gravatars are currently disabled. I’m not sure I’ll enable them back as Drupal allows users to upload their avatars once registered. Also in general it seems that pavatars is currently better althernative, so if I return to this issue - most likely I’ll concentrate on pavatars implementation first.
